World Cup Betting Preview: Spain look to continue surge vs Tunisia
The north African side dominated the early stages of their opening World Cup game against Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, taking the lead after 23 minutes but they faded as the game went on and only avoided defeat with an injury-time goal to draw 2-2.
Spain play Tunisia on Monday in Stuttgart.
"We have to try to concentrate more and we have to repair the mistakes that we made," defender Radhi Jaidi, who won his 90th cap in the Saudi match, told a press conference on Saturday. "We are going to play against a very big team who are technically good. We will play our best and maybe there could be a surprise, God willing."
Spain are top of the group after thrashing a much fancied Ukraine side 4-0 and Tunisia coach Roger Lemerre said he expected the game to be a clash of styles. Tunisia are still looking for their second World Cup victory after beating Mexico 3-1 in their debut match in 1978. They have since competed in two other World Cups, in France 1998 and South Korea and Japan in 2002.
Tunisia will face Ukraine on June 23 in Berlin.
