Australia look to advance to their first-ever quarter-finals in the World Cup on Monday when they take on the favored Italians in Kaiserslautern.
Guus Hiddink's Socceroos will be a bit shorthanded heading into the match as midfielder Brett Emerton is suspended after being sent off against Croatia. Jason Culina is likely to step in and take his place with Marco Bresciano also
starting. Harry Kewell, who scored the dramatic equalizer that put the Aussies through to the Round of 16, could also miss out with a groin injury.
As for Italy, veteran center-back Alessandro Nesta will miss the game after suffering a thigh injury in their 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic, meaning Marco Materazzi will start from the beginning.
