WORLD CUP PREVIEW: MEXICO VS ANGOLA WORLD CUP ODDS

Mexico will look to take another step toward the Round of 16 on Friday when they face upstart Angola in a Group D encounter under the night sky in Hannover.

The Mexicans, who defeated Iran 3-1 in their opener, will have to do without star striker Jared Borgetti who is out until the knockout round with a thigh tear suffered against Iran. Omar Bravo, who scored twice in the win, will start up front with Francisco Fonseca in an otherwise unchanged line-up for Ricardo Lavolpe.

Angola, who fought valiantly in a 1-0 loss to Portugal on Sunday, are also expected to name the same starting XI, with striker Akwa starting up front alone.

Facts:

If Mexico win and Portugal claim at least a point on Saturday against Iran, the North American side will advance to the next round to face a Group C team. Angola are still in search of their first-ever World Cup goal, and came close several times against Portugal.

Head to head:

This will the first-ever encounter between the two nations.

Probable line-ups:

Mexico: Sánchez, Méndez, Márquez, Osorio, Salcido, Pineda, Fonseca, Torrado, Pardo, Franco, Bravo.
