Fearless Togo ready to end World Cup glory era for France

Togo are without a chance to advance to the next round, but slumping France will need a win in order to join the best sixteen nations of the world.

Currently, France have two points while Switzerland and Korea Republic have four, and face each other in their final match. A draw between those two teams, could mean the end for France if 'Les Bleus' don't win by more than one goal.

Jean-Paul Abalo returns from a suspension, to form part of Togo's starting line-up of what is to be their final match at their first World Cup.

Zinedine Zidane is suspended and expected to be replaced by who is generally mentioned as his successor, Franck Ribery. Mikael Silvestre may take the place of another suspended player, Eric Abidal. Meanwhile, Raymond Domenech is set to add a strike, and this could be either David Trezeguet or Louis Saha.

After their disappointing performance in 2002, France will want to restore their pride this year. Four years ago, they only earned one point and lost their last match against Denmark. These two sides have never met each other in the past.

Probable line-ups:

Togo: Kossi Agassa; Dare Nibombe, Jean Paul Abalo, Massamesso Tchangai, Kuami Agboh; Thomas Dossevi, Cherif Toure Mamam, Yao Aziawanou, Mohamed Kader Coubadja; Richmond Forson, Emmanuel Adebayor.

France: Fabien Barthez; Willy Sagnol, Lilian Thuram, William Gallas, Mikael Silvestre; Franck Ribery, Patrick Vieira, Claude Makelele, Florent Malouda; David Trezeguet, Thierry Henry.
