World Cup Game Prediction: Argentina vs Serbia-Montenegro Betting Preview
In one of the toughest groups in this summers World Cup, Argentina line up against Serbia & Montenegro. The South Americans will be looking for a second victory, whilst the Serb's are still looking for their first point in Group B.
The Argentinians began their campaign with a 2-1 win over Côte d'Ivoire and if the Africans fail to beat the Netherlands, a win for Argentina against Serbia & Montenegro will see them qualify. Serbia & Montenegro had an unbeaten run of 13 games ended in their opening game defeat to the Netherlands and have lost Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic to a knee ligament injury.
18-year-old Lionel Messi may feature for Argentina, but has picked up a foot injury in training and the midfielder is a now a real doubt. Team spokesman Andrés Ventura, gave the latest news on the situation, commenting, "Messi suffered pain in his left instep and will be followed closely to see how he recovers."
Argentina beat Serbia & Montenegro 6-0 in an game for the 2004 Olympics, but the South Americans have played the former Yugoslavia nine times. Argentina won four of those contests, Yugoslavia won three.
