Five-times World Champions Brazil are four matches away from their sixth trophy, but Ghana will do all they can to advance at the expense of the title defenders. The Brazilians are without Robinho for this match, as the Real Madrid striker suffered a minor thigh injury and is expected to be replaced with Adriano.

Ghana miss one of their most influential players, as Michael Essien is suspended after picking up two yellow cards in the group stage. Another doubt for the Africans is Razak Pimpong, who injured a rib in his team's last group match with the United States.
